Quality from the Source
At Proa, we attend to every detail—from selecting fruit at peak ripeness to processing it in our state-of-the-art facility designed to preserve each prune's natural freshness and quality. Our crops cover 550 hectares, of which 450 are equipped with pressurized irrigation and hail protection. With a mechanized harvesting system, we produce an average of 15,000 tons of fresh plums each season.The aforementioned plantations represent 6% of the total cultivated area in Argentina, and generate between 10% and 15% of the national production.

ADVANCED PRODUCTION PROCESS
Our industrial plant in San Rafael features dedicated areas for storage and dehydration. We use meticulous processing techniques to ensure optimal texture and flavor in every product. Equipped with 40 Californian-style, hot-air drying ovens with countercurrent technology and sensors that regulate temperature and humidity, we maintain the highest quality standards. This precise approach allows us to dehydrate up to 600,000 kg of fruit per day.
QUALITY CONTROL AND STORAGE
After dehydration, the prunes undergo a calibration phase, where they are sorted into 13 sizes based on international standards. Our warehouses are outfitted with advanced temperature and humidity control systems, preserving the fruit's qualities during storage. With a capacity of up to 4,000 tons, we guarantee a consistent and high-quality stock.
GLOBAL REACH
We export 95% of our production to markets such as Brazil, the United States, Russia, Spain, France, and Italy, achieving an average of 3,800 tons per season. The demand for our prunes has grown significantly, positioning Frutas Proa as a benchmark in the global market.
